Visitors are fun

Last week, my dear friend Katy came to visit Bangkok. I got to see how the other half lives, or those who make more than $800 a month. After a few days in Bangkok and a few more in Phuket with them, I am still readjusting to my gritty living arrangements back at Mr. Andy's. Cold showers, no AC and a hard mattress are a real shock after getting use to room service, unlimited cold air and infinity pools. Not only did we hang by the pool at their secluded villa, we also had a day of extreme adventures. We went bungy jumping and rode buggies through the jungle. Here are some pictures:

Koh Samui

This past weekend, a group of us went to Koh Samui, a large island off the coast of Southern Thailnd in the Gulf. We stayed at a very QUAINT resort for two nights, mentally and physically preparing for the famous Full Moon Party. Each month, thousands of trashy Europeans flood the island of Koh Phagnan to literally trash the island. For most, the night's main attraction consisted of a short hike up to Mushroom Mountain where a particular fungus shake could be bought and consumed for the affordable price of $15. For the more traditional party-goers, a variety of buckets were available. Inside these buckets were a choice of juice or soda, thai whiskey, and thai red bull. I must say, this was one of the most interesting people-watching events I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures that really capture the true nature of the party, so these will have to do for now...

Fire Twirlers

The Beach...supposedly the island uses so much electricity, the smaller neighboring islands are without for the night.
